Watched this, interesting. Was never a fan of the early stuff and the last 3 or 4 albums did nothing for me either. But in-between, they were brilliant. Came across as nice guys, intelligent, humble and dedicated. That last song over the credits, The Garden, beautiful.

I spoke to him countless times. Always happy to chat unless there was some totty nearby, then you just bowed out and left him to it..

I worked with Lemmy a few times and partied with him once. My favourite music biz bloke. Told great stories and rubbish jokes!

Before he moved to LA, it was rare to be at a gig at Hammersmith, and NOT bump into Lemmy. :)

Peart was unbelievable. Pretty much the only drum solo I'd always stay and watch instead of heading out for a drink/piss.

Worked with them a few times 77/78. Lovely blokes. Watched their roadie Lurch eject Lemmy from the side of the stage at Hammersmith. I was allowed to nip on stage and hide behind a speaker behind Neil's kit during the encore. Was meant to keep my head down but couldn't resist peeping over the top. Amazing sight.

Didn't like their music though. Haha!

Nice.

By the time I saw them first in 1980 they'd stopped having support acts as their own sets were so long.

Saw them in Birmingham 1985. Don't get all the mystical stuff but very tight musicians for sure.

I still say Geddy Lee's best work wasn't with Rush...

but with Take Off with Bob and Doug Mackenzie.

Look it up.

That was on the R30 tour. I have rarely been happier than I was to see them on then. I'd last seen them on Roll The Bones in '91 (?) and frankly I thought they'd finished when Peart had his family tragedies.

Getting them back these last few tours was a bit of a bonus.

Love a bit of Rush. This is excellent, a live compilation of classic Rush songs before they launch into Spirit of Radio... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSToKcbWz1k

Cheers.

Can't believe they're done, but respect them pulling the plug (well Peart did anyway), still at the top of their game.
